The nursery
holds both nursery and playgroup sessions. Your child will have
the opportunity to play indoors and outdoors during their
session. In addition to a wonderfully equipped garden and
adventure playground, the nursery has three rooms for your
child's education and play.
On offer will be climbing, construction,
role-play, craft activities, water and sand play, floor
play, a book corner, a quiet area, a computer station and
much more. Your child is unlikely to be bored!
The Nursery Teacher and Staff, all qualified
in childcare, are enthusiastic, professional and caring with
numerous years of experience. Most have been at the nursery
for many years.
We work closely with parents to ensure that
our nursery and playgroup is an extension of a loving and
caring home.
Our ethos is to encourage each child to...

The Nursery Day
9.00am – 12.00 noon
Children are brought to their teacher just
before 9.00am. Parents are encouraged to assist children
with taking their coat off etc. in the cloakroom, whilst
allowing them to enter their classroom independently.
Playtime is 10.15am – 10.30am. Children have
their own playground to the rear of the school and their own
collection of large toys. Before play, children have a
snack.
Optional Lunch hour
12.30 pm – 1.30 pm
Nursery children may stay at school for an
additional hour until 1.30 pm. A Nursery Assistant
supervises them in the school hall. All children staying
for this hour bring a packed lunch. The structured session
consists of eating lunch together, outside play on apparatus
or with large toys and a quiet period for story and rhyme.
The Playgroup Day
12.00 pm – 3.00pm
Children are brought to their teacher just
before 12.00 noon. Parents are encouraged to assist
children with taking their coat off etc,
